Well I have now been here for 2 weeks. The time has gone so fast. Guess what we have a baptism this Sunday. Sister Hannah will be baptized this Sunday. She has a very strong testimony and I think I told you last week that she already pays tithing. Sister Hannah is between 50 and 60 years old. She use to be very rich, but she divorced with her husband. She is an acupuncturist. We have another family that we are starting to focus on. Bro. Haru and his wife; they are Muslim, but they are ktp Muslim. They have a real interest in the gospel.
Well for angkots (bus? taxi?) we pay usually dua ribu, in America that is about 20 cents. So we get around for pretty cheap. The drivers always ask for more and my companion doesn't like when they ask for more, so he just walks away. It's pretty funny. The drivers get kind of mad sometimes. Well the best thing about being close to Jakarta is that you go to Senopati when there is a meeting and you usually get to eat with President Marchant. (Of course Kyle would say that the one benefit is FOOD!!!)
At church I always speak Indonesian because very rarely is there some one that can speak good English. So I talked about how we will all have a test of faith, so we have to always do the little things to strengthen our faith.
"Jadi ketika kita berdoa dan berdoa sama keluarga kita, ketika kita membaca tulisan suci,datang ke gereja dan mengambil sakramen. Semua hal2 kecil itu akan mengembangkan iman kita agar ketika kita punya masalah ataupencobaan dlm kehidupan kita, kita bisa mengatasi. " (Can't you just hear that rolling off his tounge!)
Well that is just a section of what I said. Have fun translating. :0) (Here is the best translation I could find! "So when we pray and we pray the same family, when we read the scriptures, attend church and partake of the sacrament. All little things that will develop our faith so that when we have a problem or trials of our lives, we can overcome.")

Hooray for the Sister who was baptized and had the courage to say "Yes!". It is a challenge for all of us on a daily basis, but my hope is that we strive to have courage to do what is right! Kyle, keep up the great work! We LOVE you! Mom and Dad
